7-Day Classic Distancia Tour North - (Cazorla)

Scheduled for 18th - 24th May 2026

The following are just some of the highlights;

  • Gorafe, famous for its various Dolmens and cave houses as well as its impressive natural environment (Los Colorados).
  • Segura de la Sierra, dominated by a huge Mudéjar castle placed on top of the town and surrounded by ancient walls. Built in the 12th centuary by the Almohads on the remains of an ancient Roman watchtower, it's an impressive sight when approaching the village from any direction.
  •  Cazorla, Segura y las Villas Natural Park, characterised by its towering rock walls and deep valleys covered in Corsican pine. Covering an area of over 2,099.2 square kilometres (810.5 sq miles) it was designated a Unesco biosphere reserve in 1983 and is now Spain's largest protected area.
  • Guadix, well off the beaten path, the most interesting feature of this area is that many of the inhabitants still live underground in Cave Houses, "Barrio Troglodyte".
  • La Contraviesa, mountain range well known for its Vineyards and Bodegas. Little has changed here over the centuries, many of the vinyards still use mule or ox to pull the plough and the horse and mule still provide the transport from the land to the Bodegas.
