Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Latest Update - 22/06/20

We have now entered "phase 4" of Spains lockdown easing plan and the official end of the "State of Alarm"

This means that at the end of June, if the Coronavirus epidemiological curve follows the same trend as until now, we will complete the reopening process and will finally be in the so-called “new normal life” or “nueva normalidad”.

The end of the “State of Alarm” also means that the central Spanish Government will give all the authority back to the regions. Also, it is the end of travel restrictions between autonomous regions and countries in the Schengen area.

Latest Update - 28/04/20

We have just received the following information with regards to the Spanish Government easing some of the lockdown measures which have been in force here for the past 7 weeks; -

"Spain’s 7-week-old lockdown is one of the world's strictest, and its government announced Tuesday a cautious, four-phase approach toward a “new normal.”

If they've taken necessary precautions, street stores can open May 11, but not malls. Tourist accommodation can also reopen, except for common areas. In Phase Two, restaurants, museums and monuments can allow visitors up to a third of normal capacity."
