This tour will take place from Monday 27th May - Sunday 2nd June 2019 and will be slightly different from the original one we have been conducting in this part of Andalucia over the past three years.
We would like to explore in more detail the Cazorla National Park and also try out some new hotels in the area, this will allow us to get feedback after the tour and fine tune the itinerary before adding it to our main touring schedule.
Arrive at either Málaga Airport (AGP) where you will be met by one of our team and transported to the guesthouse in Vélez de Benaudalla. Following administration you will be given a short safety briefing and introduced to your Royal Enfield. After this, you have the remainder of the day to do as you please. There is a good choice of tapas bars in the village, some offering their menus in English. Feel free to wander through the narrow streets in the old Mozarabic parts of the village taking in the stunning views of the Sierra Nevada and surrounding countryside from the 15th century Arab Castle.
Day 2: Velez –
Laroles – Gorafe - Baza
After having breakfast, your tour will begin. Leaving the guesthouse around 9:00 we start making our way East through the lower Alpujaras before turning north through Laroles, Puerto De La Ragua and into “Parque Megalitico de Gorafe”, a spectacular amalgam of shapes, colours and sensations. After our visit to this spectacular area we shall continue heading East to Baza, our final destination for the day and where we shall be staying this evening.
Day 3: Baza - Castril
- Segura de la Sierra
This morning, we'll set off north passing by the stunning Presa Negratin and into Parque Natural Sierra de Castril and Parque Natural Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas, eventually arriving at Segura de la Sierra, where we shall be spending the night.
Day 4: Parque Natural Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas
Following breakfast, we shall be spending today exploring within the National Park on our motos. Covering an area of 2140sq km its the largest protected area in Spain and the second in Europe, so hopefully we shall be see some amazing scenery. Continuing down the western side of the National Park, passing round El Tranco Lake we will arrive at Coto Rios where we'll spend the night in a rural hotel.
Day 5: Coto Rios - Cazorla -
After leaving Coto Rios, we'll pass through La Iruela, famous for its ruined Moorish fortress perched on a daunting rock peak. Saying good bye to Cazorla National Park we head West and make our way towards the vast Parque Natural Sierra Mágina, This park lies on a rugged limestone massif and is home to pine & olive woods. Finally heading South to Guadix, famous for it’s cave houses, we'll be sleeping in one of these tonight.
Day 6: Guadix –Turon -
Today will see us continuing south before heading west by El pantano de Beninar and into La Contraviesa (one of the major wine producing areas of Andalucia) where we will be stopping to have lunch in a bodega. We’ll then travel south before making our way along the Mediteranean coast and back to our headquarters in Vélez de Benaudalla, arriving around 18:00.
You are leaving today, and will be transported back to the airport for your flight home. Hopefully, you will have had an unforgettable experience.
Please be aware that this itinerary is a guide only and may need to change due to weather, road conditions or other factors. Please be flexible, but rest assured your Tour Leader will make the final day-to-day decisions only after consultation with our group members.

Getting to Malaga International Airport is easy with regular flights from many European cities. We will be offering one airport transfer on the day of arrival and the day of departure. The recommended arrival date for this tour is Monday 27th May 2019. Please allow enough time for administration, bike allocation and commissioning.
You are more than welcome to arrive and/or depart a day or two earlier/later but there is a possibility you will have to make your own travel arrangements to get to our guesthouse as airport transfers may not be available.
We will be covering a distance of around 200 kms per day and spending an average of six hours in the saddle.
The total cost of this tour will be 790€ per person and is based on four riders sharing two rooms. A deposit of 300€ is required to secure your place on this tour with the remainder of the balance being paid on arrival.
We will keep you updated on a regularly basis regarding the bookings received and you will be given the opportunity to cancel your trip up to twenty one days before the commencement date.

The skill level on this tour will be classed as INTERMEDIATE. The emphasis of this tour is about riding on fantastic roads through stunning scenery. Although we take a fairly laid back approach, stopping for breaks and lunch, you can still expect to be on your bike between 6 to 8 hours a day. You should be a confident rider, able to tackle twisty roads with ease and your pillion (if applicable) should be comfortable covering a distance of around 200 kms per-day.
The cost includes airport transfers, six nights shared accommodation, moto rental with third party liability insurance and fuel. If
you would like to have a private room for the duration of your tour, there will be a single room suplement of 260€ added onto the price.
Flights, food and drinks are not included. We also advise anyone interested in participating in this tour, that they arrange travel/medical insurance (we can help you arrange this if needed) through an insurance company in the UK. The cost for 7 days is around £20.
